Video game addiction lawsuits are here
Roblox has been sued 31 times in the past two months in the Northern District of California, where it’s headquartered.

It’s part of a wave of video game addiction lawsuits. Epic, Microsoft, and other gaming companies are getting hit too.
Plaintiffs’ lawyers are trying to recreate their success against Big Tobacco.
Roblox has already won at least one case on a motion to dismiss (based on the First amendment and Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act). I thought that might chill these filings, but apparently not.
It may take a few more defense victories before the plaintiffs’ bar moves on to the next thing.
