Some interesting stuff in the Roblox Terms of Service
In my free time I like to take deep dives into Roblox’s terms of service. There’s a lot of interesting stuff in there!
Did you know that you aren’t supposed to use the Roblox logo?
Or the Roblox “Tilt”(that’s what they call the rotated ‘o’ in the logo)?
Instead, if you want to advertise your game online, you’re supposed to use what they call, the Roblox “Badge.” It looks like this:
And there’s all sorts of rules about how you are supposed to use the Roblox Badge.
For example, the Roblox Badge shouldn’t be more than 10% of the entire asset and should always be placed on the bottom left or right corner of your ad, like this:
So, you can’t do stuff like this:
What about this?
Nope (can’t use logo).
I should mention that different rules apply if you’re part of the Roblox Stars Influence Program.
