Drinking with the enemy

I had drinks with the "enemy" last night.

I cross-examined Jennifer Prager CPA, ABV, CVA, MAFF, CFE in a trial last year, where she was acting as my opponent’s damages expert.  That was the first and only time we’ve ever talked.

One of the things I really enjoy about our small Oregon legal community is that we treat each other with respect (well, for the most part). It’s a very different scene than my California practice.

In any event, Jennifer and I grabbed drinks last night and swapped some trial war stories. (We still don’t see eye-to-eye on that case!)

But it was great to get to know her outside the court room, and its satisfying to know that despite our battles, we can still share drinks after!
