Or in legal terms, is a brainrot protectible intellectual property?

AI generated images are not protectible by copyright.

What does that mean?

That means the concept of, say, Ballerina Cappuccina, is not protected. Anyone can dupe and use the AI image of Ballerina Cappuccina.

But, if I create my own version of Ballerina Cappuccina, which is an original and unique expression of her, and I do it without AI, then MY version of Ballerina Cappuccina is protected.

You can still copy the AI concept, but you can’t copy my version of her.
